How to decrypt Whatsapp database crypt12 on Android?

 Hi everyone welcome back to another blog. I hope you all are doing well . Well, this blog is going to be interested why because now a day we all are hearing that some of celebrities whatsapp chats was leaked.

And after listening  this type of news,  we all have some queries in our mind why because whatsapp clearly mentioned in his website or in mobile application that he is using " End to End encryption " technology to provide security to his customer . That means sender and receiver in between them no one can't see your private chats. Then how it
possible to see anyone's whatsapp chat ? That I am explaining bellow .

It is highly impossible to see anyone WhatsApp chat without the permission of WhatsApp operation even Whatsapp corporation already said that they will can't see that information . But some websites are climing that they can decrypt your data .  That is totally fake 🙄 don't trust tht types of frud websites . I am not saying it is not possible but an normal people can't do without proper knowledge . Let's see how Whatsapp stores your data .

Basically whatsapp stores your data maximum inside your phone and some data in their server . With including highly encryption technology . When ever you connect an wifi Whatsapp take an backup including your chats, audio, video and document files and stores it into your phone and in Drive or you can say cloud storage ( if mail Id registered ) . When ever your phone number changed or you want you restore your data then that backup file helps to rollback to privious state . Whatsapp use key based encryption technology that means and additional key file is required to restore that data and it will do automatically .

To see that key file it is impossible to see without the doing root acces because that file stores in your phone in some encryption extension and that perticular file need Android root access to see, so most of mobile phones are not have root  access .

Whatsapp keeps data locally in two separate locations. One is app’s private folder which user don’t have access without root access. Other is in internal SD card(user can read/write). Whatsapp encrypts your chats into crypt12 database file with AES-256 encryption(crypt12 is an extension to encrypt SQLite DB files) and stores in your phone. You can see several files that have the extension of .crypt12 inside Whatsapp/database folder. Even if you switch into a new phone with the same account, the key won’t change. So where is the key? The key is created when you first created WhatsApp account and it stores in apps private folder /data/data/com.whatsapp/files/key. Getting that key is almost impossible without root access.

I have been seen that some of websites are claiming that they can decrypt that that, don't trust them they are just makeing people stupid.

What to do after getting whatsapp chat key ?

After getting key then you require some basic things continue next step .

1. Database file crypt12 files from (  whatsapp/Database )

2. An computer it may be windows or Mac and Java JRE 8+ installed .

3. That complies whatsapp key . (/data/data/com.whatsapp/files/key ( it Need root access to show .

4. Download jar file .

If you have this prerequisites things then you just need an one line command and you will see your desire chat data from whatsapp data file .

Let suppose that  jar file is decrypt12.jar, encrypted database is msgstore.db.crypt12 and output file name that is decrypted is msgstore.db.

Then type "java -jar decrypt12.jar key msgstore.db.crypt12 msgstore.db "

Then you have a file called msgstore.db and open it with SQLite browser. Now you can see all the massages, group, contacts .
