So to start the recover process please follow some simple steps to recover. Prerequisites :- 

1. Instagram password.
2. Zip extract apps like winrar or any other.
3. Mobile or Desktop.

STEP 1 :- 

Go to your Instagram account on your Mobile phone or may be on your Desktop. And then tap on Setting . 

STEP 2 :- 

Now jump to Privacy and Security option and then find Data Download option.  

STEP 3 :- 

Then tap on Request Download option. 

STEP 4 :- 

After Clicking on Request Download option it will open a new page where you have to enter your Instagram password to verify . After that then simple tap on Request Download option.

STEP 5 :- 

Now select your Desire Email address and format like which file type you want in HTML or in JSON format. I will choose here HTML format. 

STEP 6 :- 

Now you will got an Email form Instagram that will take around 5 Minutes to came inside your email. It depends upon how much data you have in your instagram account.

STEP 7 :- 

After Click on Download Information button then you have to verify one more time your account details . After entering your password you will redirect  to download link page that will shows like this. 

    

 

STEP 8 :- 

After clicking on Go to feed  you will see an file will downloading . That will contains everything about your account so keep in a safe folder. It's a zip file so you need some special software to extract it. You can use 7Z or Winrar to extract.

After getting your zip file just extract the that file and you will get a html page inside that extracted files. just click on that html file and open it . You will get your all information about your accounts like stories, pictures, Video , chats etc.
