What is BIOS?

Bios stands for Basic Input Output System. It is a simple software that directly connect to the hardware. Means that BIOS stores all the hardware information those are connected to the system.

It is a hardware component that place over your Computer motherboard.
It has two different mode and that is.: 1. Legacy, 2.UEFI

Different between Legacy bios and UEFI bios?

Legacy bios is the older technology and the UEFI is an latest technology. The main different between UEFI and Legacy is.:

Legacy	UEFI ( Unified Extensible firmware interface )
It only support Keyboard.	It support both Mouse and keyboard.
It is not user friendly, it looks like a terminal screen.	It is user friendly so you will get graphical interface.
It is less secure.	It is more secure comparing to older legacy.
It support up-to 2TB only.	It is more secure.
It takes more time to boot.	It support more then 2TB storage.

Note- In a system can be place more then one BIOS. One is for Backup purpose and one is for main Bios.

How to update BIOS in a system:-

To update the BIOS of a system you need to follow some simple step and that is.:

· Refer to your System Manufacture website for more details about update setting. After that just go to the manufacture website and download the latest file and install on it by given instructions.

Post stands for Power On Self Test. It is a function of BIOS so that at the initial state of your operating system, means while starting your BIOS will test your connected hardware like RAM is working properly or not. After according to the process then your BIOS gives the instruction to the bootloader to start the operating system. It check all the hardware including RAM and ROM and keyboard and mouse etc. .

What is safe mode and Normal mode of a system?

What is disk- management In Windows system ?

How to open Disk management on a windows machine?
