How to Format a Hard disk Using windows CMD? Check to know more. How to format a disk.

Well formatting a Heard disk or Formatting a normal SD card in Windows system is so easy. We can perform using GUI methods but some time you need to reset or format your drive in command method. My advice is you should know how to format a normal Hard disk using this method. It will more helpful to you some time. 

Well in this blog i am going to share you How to Format a Hard disk using windows CMD. It will take 2 minutes to format your disk. So please read carefully while you are performing any thing with your system. 

Step 1:- 

Open your Run console by simple pressing simultaneously ( Windows + R ) button. And then type CMD . You can directly open the CMD using applications list. No problem.  

Step 2 :- 

Now it will open the Command prompt screen in your window. Just type here Diskpart and then press ok. it will ask you for the permission of Administrator so that you will able to perform the actions.

Step 3:- 

Now it will open a new Command prompt screen then type list disk command to show your all installed Hard disks. For my case I am going to format my 300GB Hard disk, so in my case my disk number is 1. 

Note:- Please don't select Disk0 because usually 0 is represented by your system itself. 

Step 4 :- 

Now selecting your require Hard Disk just type " ( select disk 1 ) and then press enter. it will select disk disk to format . For format in clean way then give command " clean " . It will di-initialize your Hard disk. After that just exit form the Command prompt screen. 

Note:- For my case it is 1 because i have only 1 Hard disk to format. For your case may be different.

Step 5:- 

Now your desire hard-disk is successfully cleaned but till now you can't access the drive until you didn't initialized the disk to perform simple go to your Disk-management utility and tap on your disk and then right click  on it. Then simple click on initialize the disk. It will take around 5 sec to complete the process. After that you will able to get your disk.
