Recording something on your Windows machine is not a easy job to do. Why i am saying like this because unlike any other operating system like Linux and Android has their own screen recording application or also free and open source application is available to perform the action. But in windows although the own application is available that is called Windows game bar, but the main problem on that application is it doesn't allow to record internal side of your machine. So in order to record your screen i have a great application to help you out. That application named is OBS Studio . 

What is OBS Studio ?

OBS studio is a  open source and cross-platform application that support both Microsoft's Windows and Linux and also Mac . Although it is a open -source and free to use application so that you will get many updates upcoming futures.

How to setup OBS studio for Recording the screen?

Installation of a software is easy on Windows machine. To download the OBS studio please follow some simple steps and also also setting up for screen recording.

STEP 1 :- 

Go-to the google chrome and search OBS studio on it. Now click on that first link.

STEP 2 :- 

Open the Official website of the OBS studio and then choose your operating system like Windows or Mac or Linux. I will choose Windows here because in this blog i am going to setup on Windows pc.

STEP 3 :- 

It will download a .exe file and then just double click on that and hit next button to install perfectly  in your system. After that just open the OBS studio.

STEP 4 :- 

Now select your choice like you want to do for streaming or for recording. Well in this blog i will choose the second option that is for  recording the screen. 

STEP 5 :- 

Now select your screen resolution like in which frame rate you want to record your screen. It depending upon your screen size or if you have a dedicated graphic card in your system then you can record up-to 4k.

 

STEP 6 :-

It will take some time to select your screen . After that you will get your OBS studio dashboard. 

On your dashboard select a Scene and then Select a source for recording. For the source just click on that (  + ) icon .

 

STEP 7 :- 

It will open a new small dropdown menu then click on Display capture option and it will open a small window like this, after that just hit okay button.

STEP 8 :-

Now if you get this types of screen then your screen recording software is ready to record your screen . To record your screen on your Right side of your screen you will get some options regarding for Recording screen. 

 

Note:- There is no limit to record your screen. It's all depending upon your disk space in your system. So if you have enough free space then you can record your screen up-to 1 hour on the setting 4k or on your selected resolution.
